From the vibrant imagination of this image huntress, born in 1963 in Martinique and nourished by a childhood immersed in the wild nature of French Guiana, emerges a singular universe. Captured through her photographic eye with its rare sensitivity, this world of her own oscillates between a modern-day comic book and a romantic fairy tale. At only fourteen, young Agnès Etchegoyen, armed with her father’s professional camera, followed her instinct and her deep love of nature to set out in search of images. Long dormant, this passion was rekindled about ten years ago with the arrival of a sophisticated camera that opened a new creative horizon. Her first explorations captured the reflections of her other passions: surfing, windsurfing, and scuba diving.
