Ana Paula Dos Santos, known by her artist name Ana Santos, was born in the state of Pernambuco, Brazil. A military police officer in the state of Paraná, she has served for sixteen years in Foz do Iguaçu — a life balanced between duty and devotion. Yet it was in a very different place that her artistic journey took flight: in church, one Sunday, moved by the voice of a young girl singing.
Touched by that moment of grace, Ana began to pray for her own voice, longing to praise God with even greater fervor. The following night, a mystical dream transformed her path: she saw her aunt, a visual artist, handing her a brush and jars of paint. Upon waking, she turned to God and whispered:
“Lord, I asked You for a voice… would You give me a brush and paint instead?”
In the days that followed, brushes continued to appear in her dreams. Her artistic calling had been born. Encouraged by her aunt, she learned the basics, embraced color as a vocation, and began to paint.
Between faith and artistic expression, Ana Santos now explores an inner landscape guided by spiritual inspiration. Each work becomes an extension of her prayer — a gesture of offering, a vibrant response to a divine call.
