Born in 1956 in Châtellerault, Aldéhy discovered his artistic vocation in 1975 during a formative stay in the New Hebrides (now Vanuatu). This first journey anchored him in a path as a painter-explorer, inspired by cultures and lights from around the world. Graduating from the École des Beaux-Arts in Toulouse in 1977, he embarked on a career shaped by great travels — from the United States to Japan, and into the Amazon — experiences that deeply nourished his imagination.
A committed artist of pictorial narration, Aldéhy stands out for his thematic exhibitions and mastery of color. He defines himself as a master of light, capable of capturing the essence of a moment with intensity and precision. His emblematic series Les Cathédrales de Lumières illustrates this vision: fourteen portraits of a child through the hours of a day, at the crossroads of sensitive realism and universal symbolism.
Versatile in his practice, he explores multiple supports — paper, canvas, wood, synthetic panels — and techniques ranging from acrylic and oil to charcoal, Indian ink, and pencil. Anchored in a contemporary vision, Aldéhy also ventures into the digital dimension of art with NFTs, offering digital reinterpretations of his painted works and affirming a new facet of his visual language.
Recognized for the consistency and quality of his work, Aldéhy has been certified by I-CAC since 2020 as a professional painter, a distinction that reinforces the legitimacy of his artistic journey within the contemporary art landscape.
