Sylvie Granger

Her work as a beautician gave her a taste for care, colour and enhancement. But it is in the world of art that Sylvie Granger found her true space of freedom — a creative freedom that is instinctive and sensitive, like a butterfly leaving its chrysalis. This symbol became her signature: a wax seal stamped with her initials, accompanied by delicate butterflies. They embody her takeoff, her rebirth, and also a quiet homage to her mother, taken too soon. For Sylvie, emotion blends with gesture, memory becomes light, and each artwork carries within it an energy of healing and beauty.

Living in the south of France, between sea and sun, the artist draws from her surroundings vibrant colours, earthy and marine energies, and a joy of life that is unmistakably Mediterranean. She creates her own moulds to produce resin crystals, which she embeds in her works, giving them a precious, almost mineral radiance. These inclusions reveal the soul of an alchemist — a desire to transform, elevate and beautify nature and the world.

Self-taught and passionate, Sylvie Granger explores the visual arts with spontaneity and boldness. Her works, shaped by multiple inspirations, oscillate between painting and sculpture, between abstraction and relief. She inserts three-dimensional elements into her canvases, creating striking visual emergence — as if the artworks were literally stepping out of the frame. She works with acrylic, rhinestones, natural pigments, quartz, gold leaf and above all… resin, her favourite material, which she elevates on canvas or wood. A meticulous, layered practice that at times evokes the aerial views of Yann Arthus-Bertrand, like a tribute to the Earth.

Moulding has gradually become her language. Sylvie mixes techniques, embraces contrasts, pairing epoxy resin with Posca markers, fluid pours with reliefs, natural pigments with light. Each piece becomes a fragment of universe, an imaginary planet, an emotion crystallised in matter. The artist wants her work to question, to amaze, to soothe. She embraces a joyful, sensorial, almost cosmic aesthetic.

Without chasing fame, Sylvie Granger has already won over a loyal and curious audience. She has exhibited in several emblematic locations, from Honfleur — cradle of the Impressionists — to art salons in Hyères, Saint-Tropez and Monaco, as well as galleries in Saint-Paul-de-Vence and Lisbon. Her solo exhibitions captivate with their freshness and sincerity, and her singular universe leaves no one indifferent.

Her works are breaths of air — messages carried by matter and light. A reminder that art can be gentle, vibrant and intuitive. Much like Sylvie Granger herself: a free, inspired woman in constant transformation.
