Born on 18 November 1977 in the South of France, Séverine Egle is a self-taught painter who has carried within her, since childhood, an irresistible need to create. Very early on, her pencil explored the contours of both reality and imagination. At twenty, brushes replaced graphite, and painting became her natural language — intuitive, expressive, instinctive. Oil paint first emerged as her medium of choice, already revealing a confident technique and a distinctive sensitivity.
But Séverine Egle’s artistic quest does not settle for stability. Curious, nomadic and driven by a need to be nourished by the world, she left her hometown with her family to immerse herself in new landscapes: the ochres of Toulouse, the light of Saint-Tropez, the effervescence of Paris… and finally Canada, where she lived for three years, letting each place infuse her palette and her vision. These experiences form an intimate map, where each stop enriches her artistic gesture.
