Born in 1991 in Briey, in the heart of Meurthe-et-Moselle, Kamien Cholewinski grew up in an atmosphere where art, transmission, and the act of looking at the world formed a living constellation. His grandfather was a decorative painter, his father an amateur photographer inspired by his years spent in French Polynesia during his military service. From an early age, the curious child absorbed this family universe, rich in images and stories, where artistic sensitivity became an instinctive, almost self-evident inheritance. “Since childhood, I have lived surrounded by Art,” he says. “The lineage took shape naturally.”
Yet photography was not his immediate path. Kamien first explored the field of healthcare — a serious, altruistic direction — before finally yielding to what truly lived within him: a growing passion for imagery, staging, and the narrative power of light. In 2020, he took the leap and trained in Luxembourg with fashion photographer Sails Chong during a professional workshop. This decisive moment marked the beginning of an intense creative journey shaped by powerful influences.
