Isa Winski is a contemporary painter who has been living in Villefranche-sur-Mer for about ten years. Born in 1967 in Paris into a family passionate about art, literature, and classical music, she grew up surrounded by museums, exhibitions, and artistic discoveries. Fascinated from childhood by Bernard Buffet and his sharp lines, Niki de Saint Phalle and her vibrant forms, Remedios Varo and her mystical surrealism, and Francis Bacon and his emotional turmoil, she learned early on to look into the soul of artworks.
At the age of twenty, a stay in London marked a turning point: Isa enrolled in evening drawing classes and, encouraged by a friend, submitted her work to the prestigious Saint Martin’s School of Art and Design. She was accepted, laying the first stones of a personal, sensory, and free artistic path.
