Born in Toulon on April 26, 1979, Aurélie Queudet grew up in the Var village of Cuers, between vineyards and hills, where nature converses with the sky. The daughter of a sailor, she experienced the call of elsewhere at an early age. In 1985, a move to Polynesia would forever change her perception of the world. She stayed there for two years, at that tender age when emotions shape memory. There, the curious child discovered tattooing, inks, colors, and the ritual beauty of painted bodies — her first artistic initiation.
Since that formative journey, Aurélie has never stopped exploring. She draws, writes, paints, cuts, sews, and layers. Her tools are many, as are her supports — canvases, papers, fabrics, palettes — and her influences oscillate between Street Art and Surrealism. She loves what surprises, what expresses, what escapes. Her professional training led her in 1997 to the Coudoulière High School in Six-Fours, where she learned the art of clothing and accessories within the craft tradition. She developed a precious textile expertise, which she considers an extension of her artistic sensitivity. For her, “every material tells a story, and the artist is there to bring it to life.”
