Alexandre Di Pascoli was born in 1985 in Schiltigheim, near Strasbourg in Alsace. An engineer by training, he also devotes himself to his lifelong passions: history and architecture. Driven by his enthusiasm, he has already explored many regions of France and the world. And to preserve memories of these extraordinary places, he never forgets to reach for his camera… which brings us to another of his great passions: photography — particularly Urbex
Nicknamed “Eye of Isis” and calling himself a “modern-day photographer,” Alexandre Di Pascoli specializes in what is known as Urbex, short for “Urban Exploration.” In French, this translates to “exploration urbaine” — meaning visits to abandoned places. Urbex involves exploring man-made spaces that have been deserted for varying lengths of time. These locations can range from manors, castles, and churches to industrial wastelands, prisons, asylums, and hospitals.
