Ahmed Bouzeraa

Art is a spiritual dimension where my soul never ceases to be amazed.

Born in 1972 in the village of Tabala, Algeria, Ahmed Bouzeraa was early on projected between two worlds: that of ancestral roots and that of exile. In 1974, his family settled in Reims, in eastern France. Far from his childhood landscapes, young Ahmed discovered another universe: that of bookmobiles and comic books—a space for imagination, visual storytelling, and escape. But everything shifted one summer in 1984, during a return to his homeland, when he encountered the Qur’anic Letter. An aesthetic shock. A revelation. An inner door opened, as if an ancient breath had returned.

That same year, a deep wound etched itself into his being: his father abandoned the family. This personal trauma silently set him on a path—a visceral search for a father, for meaning, for order, for a higher breath. In Constantine, where he continued his studies, he was asked to write his name in Arabic. A simple gesture, yet one that changed everything. For the first time, he was praised. The connection with sacred calligraphy grew stronger, almost without his knowledge. He began collecting Letters, Naming them, contemplating them. And so it began.

His work was presented in Monaco in a group exhibition organized by Art Collect®, marking a new step in recognition for the artist. This visibility allowed him to fulfill one of his dreams: exhibiting in Dubai. An opportunity made possible thanks to this initial spotlight on the Monegasque art scene.

Ahmed Bouzeraa did not yet realize that he had just laid the first stone of an artistic path as intimate as it was symbolic. A journey guided by what he would later call Symbolography: a unique form of expression blending symbols, graphic design, emotions, and spirituality. It would take 37 years of wandering, introspection, and life trials for this style to fully emerge into his consciousness.

In 2008, a key moment occurred: on his birthday, he created his first digital artwork around the Divine Name ElAwal – The First. Not by coincidence: this first visual step marked the beginning of an artistic therapy, a healing through creation. That day, he gave himself the most precious of gifts—a personal visual language, deeply rooted in a love of the sacred and a longing for inner harmony.

In 2009, he trained in graphic design. Technique met intention. Emotion found its medium. When his father passed away in 2018, the wound resurfaced—but this time, it took shape. His artworks became answers—not definitive ones, but quiet responses that question, touch, and connect.

For Follow med, each letter, each symbol, each line is a fragment of the self. A way of expressing the unspeakable, of making the Invisible perceptible. The Divine Names are not subjects; they are presences. Every piece becomes a symbolic mirror, a passage, a bridge between the intimate and the universal.

He aligns with no particular movement. He follows an inner line—one made of pixels, digital ornamentation, emotional structures, and luminous silences. A self-taught artist, he embraces wonder as his compass and digital art as a field of revelation. He likes to describe himself as a “collector of emotions” or an “explorer of the invisible.” His works don’t ask to be understood, but felt.

Today, Follow med continues this soul-writing through digital matter. Each creation carries intention, vibration, and story. It invites us to slow down, to listen, to feel—to reconnect with our essential being.

Ahmed’s art moved me deeply from the very first glance, resonating within me through the harmony and subtlety that define his work. He masterfully fuses meaning and aesthetics in a striking way. His art offers a transcendent aesthetic experience, inviting us to meditate and delve into the concepts of the Qur’anic corpus. Through the lens of symbolography, he presents an enriching journey — a new way of reading the world that opens doors to unexplored horizons.

“The hope within his art is as rare as it is worth believing in. The dimensional journey this artist offers invites true contemplation — and it is along the edges of these horizons that I found embodiment. The kind that lets me see the Milky Way, drifting along with my thoughts...”
