Ahmed Bouzeraa, known by his artist name Follow med, was born in 1972 in Tabala, Algeria. When his family settled in France, he discovered the world of mobile libraries and comic books — an early spark that ignited his imagination. But it was during a return trip to Algeria in 1984, while on vacation, that he encountered something that would forever shape his life: the Qur’anic Letter. That year marked the beginning of his artistic journey, but also the painful moment of his father’s abandonment — an emotional wound that set him on a path of inner search and identity.

He later continued his studies in Constantine, where a teacher asked him to write his first name in Arabic to assess his level. It was then that he received his very first compliment — and without realizing it, his connection with the Qur’anic Letter deepened. This attraction, far from being merely aesthetic, became the first stage of a symbolic identification with a father figure. Guided by what he calls Divine Grace, this journey led him toward the most perfect models: the Sublime Divine Names.

On his birthday in November 2008, he created his very first digital Symbolography of the Divine Name “ElAwal – The First”. That act symbolized his first step toward a long and sacred therapeutic journey. Today, Ahmed is a contemporary artist who defines himself as a “collector of emotions”, and who is described by others as an “explorer of the invisible.” His work was recently presented in a group exhibition in Monaco curated by Art Collect®, marking a new milestone in his recognition as an artist.
