Karine Bricout, known by her artistic name Kooki, was born in 1971 into a warm, nurturing family that passed down to her a deep sense of creativity, energy, and curiosity. From childhood, she revealed herself as a true all-rounder: a tinkerer, a musician, a sports enthusiast—always exploring, always moving toward new horizons. But it was in November 2014, almost by chance, that she discovered painting. A world opened before her, one she embraced with passion and sensitivity. At Christmas 2018, she created her first sculpture—like a gift born from the heart. “After several canvases, sculpture entered my life. A new art form, a new gift where all my sensitivity and the depth of my soul finally take shape,” she explains. Since then, this need to create has never left her.
A self-taught artist, Kooki moves forward guided by her emotions, her travels, and the people she meets. Each creation emerges from an inner impulse, an intuition she follows without hesitation. She lets herself be led by the moment, shaping unique works that resonate with sincere, contagious energy.
