Born in 1981, Ericka is a painter based in Sanary-sur-Mer, near Toulon. After spending her childhood and youth in the Paris region, followed by a period in Haute-Savoie, she finally found her luminous anchor in the South of France. For more than ten years, she has pursued her artistic career alongside her work as a dedicated schoolteacher. For Ericka, childhood, transmission, and creation are inseparable. As she wrote on her earliest school papers: one day, she would “work in drawing.” That promise has been kept — and far surpassed.
Her path first led through fashion design. She attended a fashion school, opened her own boutique, and created unique garments… until one day, she exchanged mannequins for canvases and sewing patterns for a more intimate form of freedom. For what she seeks, what she paints, is not fashion — it’s the soul. “What words cannot say, my brushes express,” she confides. A phrase that reads like a manifesto.
